1. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
1.1 By accessing this site, joining the challenge, or donating for a participant, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
1.2 If you do not agree with any part of these terms and conditions, you may exit the site, drop out from the challenge or cease to donate.
1.3 BloomCity Challenge is an activity of Binters Development Alliance Ltd/GTE, registered as a non-profit, non-governmental organization channeling proceeds of this challenge for economic empowerment.
2. Age limit and submissions
2.1 By signing up and joining this challenge, you agree that you are above 18 years of age.
2.2 Parents are allowed to submit their children's work in a parent's name. In this case, only the work shall be that of the child. All other credentials shall be that of the parent including name, photo, contact and transfer details.
2.3 You agree to present exhibits of your own creativity and not any one else's work, in form of business plan or ideas, drawings, artwork, carvings, wears and stitches, designs, inventions, innovations, music, poems, writeups, songs, photographs, voice notes, in PDF, MP3, JPEG, PNG or MP4 formats (10mb max).
2.4 The challenge does not accept submissions that are offensive to political, religious or socio-cultural sentiments.
2.5 You agree that once submitted, your creative work is open for public view. Members of the public may choose to view and download the material from our site without notice.
3. Schedules
3.1 Registration - rolling, throughout the month; Selection of participants - 20th to 24th of every month; Stage 1 donation - 26th to 4th of the following month; Stage 2 donation - 6th to 10th of every month; Stage 3 donation - 12th to 16th of every month; Announcement of results - 17th of every month; Disbursement of funds - 18th of every month.
3.2 A single challenge season ends within schedule. Participants can therefore not claim any benefits beyond the challenge season for which they registered.
4. Registration
4.1 It is the responsibility of the participants to ensure that the information they provide at registration is correct. You agree that incorrect information may lead to disqualification and being banned from the challenge.
4.2 Participants must submit all entries needed at any stage of the challenge, within deadline, in order to remain eligible and stay in the challenge. Organizers have the right to disqualify any participant due to late submission.
4.3 The organizers have the right to verify the information provided by participants at registration to establish authenticity. Similarly, organizers have the right, but are not obliged to screen or censor information provided by participants.
4.4 The organizers reserve the right to enforce its privileges and rights and this shall not be considered as a waiver to any of these privileges or rights.
4.5 Violation of copyright, patent laws, and intellectual property is prohibited. By making any submission, participants are declaring that they have the patent rights, intellectual property rights or other authorities to share such materials.
4.6 The organizers retain full rights to use images, compositions or other submissions for purposes of this challenge and others. Submission of such materials permits the organizers to use them as fit.
4.7 Multiple registrations by the same person within the same season, batch or cohort may lead to disqualification.
5. Donations
5.1 Individuals will register for free to become participants. Donations are only done online. At Stage 1, participants are to solicit for donations from fans, friends, and family in order to be eligible for the second stage (Stage 2). Minimum donation is One Hundred Naira (N100). A minimum of 500 donations (N50,000) is required to proceed to Stage 2. There is no maximum. Only those who have accumulated the required number of donations proceed to Stage 2. At Stage 2, participants solicit for donations, and must accumulate at least 500 additional donations to proceed to Stage 3. Only those who have accumulated the required number of donations proceed to Stage 3. There is no maximum. At Stage 3 - the final stage - participants solicit for donations, in readiness for disbursement, to support their business or idea. The donations received at all stages will be transparently calculated in favor of the participants.
5.2 Selection of participants for the next stage of the challenge and the final stage is based solely on the number of donations participants receive.
5.3 Participants can donate for their businesses. Donors can donate multiple times throughout the challenge cycle.
5.4 There shall be no premature disbursement or refund of any amount to participants or donors. Disbursement of funds shall be done strictly based on schedule.
5.5 Submitting inappropriate proofs of payments leads to outright disqualification.
5.6 Intentionally submitting the same proofs of payments more than once leads to disqualification.
6. Decisions
6.1 Decisions shall be based on the computation as seen on the scoreboard.
6.2 Participants must meet all requirements before funds are disbursed to them.
6.3 The organizers will notify participants by any of phone call, email or WhatsApp message, for disbursement.
6.4 Selected participants must respond, upon notification, within 48 hours to enable organizers disburse their funds. Funds not claimed within five working days from the end of the challenge cycle shall be rechanneled and deployed for other non-profit and empowerment purposes.
6.5 To win the prize of international visibility, the top 10 participants must reach or exceed the prescribed theshold of NGN50,000 to be eligible.
7. Disbursement of Funds
7.1 Organizers shall disburse funds crowdfunded through this challenge accordingly, to each participant, allowing participants to in turn, contribute a 20% - 28% portion, as determined from time to time, for our larger empowerment goals.
7.2 Organizers shall disburse funds crowdfunded through this challenge, only through bank transfer by any of its designates.
7.3 Only participants who have amassed at least 10 donations (NGN 1,000) are eligible for disbursement. All proceeds from ineligible participants will be pooled and channeled towards our broader empowerment goals.
7.4. Participants agree to only receive their disbursements the end of the challenge season. This means that all disbursements for Stages 1, 2 and 3, will be made after Stage 3 of the challenge has been concluded.
7.5 Organizers may, at their discretion, choose to follow up on participants on the use and deployment of the funds. However, use and deployment of the funds are at the risk or discretion of the participants. The organizers are not liable for the use, misuse or abuse of those funds, though may support within reasonable limits, for judicious use of the funds.
8. Governing Law
8.1 The rules governing the challenge are subject to change without notice, to comply with applicable laws. All tenets of this challenge are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Continued use of the site, participation and/or donating implies acceptance of all terms and conditions.
8.2 Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or related to these terms and conditions shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Nigeria.
8.3 The organizers reserve the right to terminate the processes of the challenge or the entire challenge for various reasons that may warrant its termination.
9. Non-transferability
9.1 The agreement is between the organizing body and the participants only. Slots and funds are non-transferable. Withdrawal from the challenge means forfeiture of the slot and the prize without replacement, compensation or reimbursement.
9.2 The name on the bank account into which disbursement is to be made must be the same as the name used during registration for the challenge.
10. Privacy Policy
10.1 The organizers collect and process relevant information for use within the challenge, in accordance with applicable laws.
10.2 Personal information will be used solely for the purpose of the challenge. Other materials shared will be used at the discretion of the organizers.
10.3 The organizers may use anonymized data for analytical and marketing purposes.
11. Entire Agreement
11.1 These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties regarding the challenge and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
11.2 No failure or delay by either party in exercising any right, power, or remedy under these terms and conditions shall operate as a waiver of such right, power, or remedy.
11.3 These terms and conditions are subject to change or updates without notice.
12. By visiting this site, joining the challenge or donating, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
