1. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
1.1 By accessing this site, joining the contest, or voting for a contestant, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
1.2 If you do not agree with any part of these terms and conditions, you may leave the site, drop out from the contest or stop voting.
1.3 BloomCity Contest is an activity of the Olive Community Development Initiatives, registered as a non-profit, non-governmental organization channeling proceeds of this contest for economic empowerment.
2. Age limit and submissions
2.1 By signing up and joining this contest, you agree that you are between ages 18 - 70.
2.2 Parents are allowed to submit their children's work in a parent's name. In this case, only the work shall be that of the child. All other credentials shall be that of the parent including name, photo and contact details.
2.3 You agree to present exhibits of your own creativity and not any one else's work, in form of business plan or ideas, drawings, artwork, carvings, wears and stitches, shoemaking, inventions, innovations, music, poems, writeups, songs, photographs, voice notes, in Word Documents, PDF, MP3, JPEG, PNG or MP4 formats (10mb max).
2.4 The contest does not accept submissions that are offensive to political, religious or socio-cultural sentiments.
2.5 You agree that once submitted, your creative work is open for public view. Members of the public may choose to view and download the material from our site without notice.
3. Schedules
3.1 Registration - rolling, throughout the month; Selection of contestants - 20th to 24th of every month; Stage 1 Voting - 26th to 4th of the following month; Stage 2 Voting - 6th to 10th of every month; Stage 3 Voting - 12th to 16th of every month; Announcement of Results - 17th of every month; Disbursement of Prizes - 18th of every month.
4. Registration
4.1 It is the responsibility of the contestants to ensure the information they provide at registration are correct. You agree that incorrect information may lead to disqualification and being banned from the contest.
4.2 Contestants must submit all entries needed at any stage of the competition, within deadline, in order to remain eligible and stay in the contest. Organizers have the right to disqualify any participant due to late submission.
4.3 The organizers have the right to verify the information provided by contestants at registration to establish authenticity. Similarly, organizers have the right, but are not obliged to screen or censor information provided by contestants.
4.4 The organizers reserve the right to enforce its privileges and rights and this shall not be considered as a waiver to any of these privileges or rights.
4.5 Violation of copyright laws and intellectual property is prohibited. By making any submission, contestants are declaring that they have the patent rights, intellectual property rights or other authorities to share such materials.
4.6 The organizers retain full rights to use images, compositions or other submissions for purposes of this competition and others. Submission of such materials permits the organizers to use them as fit.
5. Voting
5.1 Individuals will register for free to become contestants. Voting is only done online. At Stage 1, contestants are to solicit for votes from fans, friends, and family in order to be eligible for Stage2. Each vote costs N100, and a minimum of 500 votes is required to proceed to Stage 2. There is no maximum. Only those who have accumulated the required number of votes proceed to Stage 2. At Stage 2, contestants solicit for votes at NGN 100 each, and must accumulate at least 500 votes to proceed to Stage 3. Only those who have accumulated the required number of votes proceed to Stage 3. There is no maximum. At Stage 3 - the final stage - contestants solicit for votes, and must accumulate an overall 1,500 votes or above to be considered winner or runners-up. The votes received at all stages will be transparently calculated in favor of the contestants to determine the winner or runners-up.
5.2 Selection of contestants for the next stage of the competition and the final stage is based solely on the number of votes contestants receive.
5.3 Contestants can vote for themselves. Voters can cast their votes multiple times throughout the competition cycle.
5.4 There shall be no refund of any amount to contestants or voters at any point.
5.5 Submitting fake proofs of payments leads to outright disqualification.
5.6 Intentionally submitting the same proofs of payments more than once leads to disqualification.
6. Decisions
6.1 The decisions of the judges are considered final and is based on votes cast.
6.2 Contestants must meet all requirements before they are declared as winner or runners-up.
6.3 The organizers will notify winner or runners-up by any of phone call, email or WhatsApp message once the winner is determined.
6.4 Selected contestants must respond, upon notification, within 48 hours to enable organizers disburse their prizes. Prizes not claimed within five working days from the end of the competition cycle shall be forfeited.
7. Prizes
7.1 Bloom City shall award the winner of this contest with the sum of One Million Naira (NGN 1,000,000) only through bank transfer by any of its designates.
7.2 Organizers of the contest shall award the runner-up with the sum of Three Hundred Thousand Naira (NGN 300,000) only through bank transfer by any of its designates.
7.3 The company shall award the second runner-up with Two Hundred Thousand Naira (NGN 200,000) only through bank transfer by any of its designates.
7.4 Use and deployment of the prizes are at the risk or discretion of the awardees. The organizers are not liable for the use, misuse or abuse of those prizes, though may support within reasonable limits, for judicious use of the prize.
8. Governing Law
8.1 The rules governing the competition are subject to change without notice, to comply with applicable laws. All tenets of this competition are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Continued use of the site, participation as contestant and/or voter implies acceptance of the modified terms of conditions.
8.2 Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or related to these terms and conditions shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Nigeria.
8.3 The organizers reserve the right to terminate the processes of the contest or the entire contest for various reasons that may warrant its termination.
9. Non-transferability
9.1 The agreement is between the organizing company and the contestants only. Contest slots and prizes are non-transferable. Withdrawal from the contest means forfeiture of the slot and the prize without replacement or compensation.
9.2 The name on the bank account into which the prize money is to be paid must be the same as the name used during registration for the contest.
10. Privacy Policy
10.1 The organizers collect and process relevant information for use within the contest, in accordance with applicable laws.
10.2 Personal information will be used solely for the purpose of the contest. Other materials shared will be used at the discretion of the organizers.
10.3 The organizers may use anonymized data for analytical and marketing purposes.
11. Entire Agreement
11.1 These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties regarding the competition and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
11.2 No failure or delay by either party in exercising any right, power, or remedy under these terms and conditions shall operate as a waiver of such right, power, or remedy.
12. By visiting this site, joining the contest or voting, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
